She spent 17 years at Florida Today in Melbourne, Florida as a general assignment reporter, crime reporter, entertainment reporter and restaurant critic. She worked four years at Hometown News as a general assignment reporter, then another two years at Spacecoast Daily in Cocoa Beach, Florida. She attended Eastern Florida State College in Melbourne, Florida.

Man Killed After SUV Crashes Into Cement Wall On CT Roadway A Connecticut man was killed during a single-vehicle crash. It happened around 2:20 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 20 on Route 8 in the city of Torrington in Litchfield County. According to Connecticut State Police, New Haven County resident Barry Zaret, age 82, of Woodbridge, was traveling southbound near Exit 45, when his 2015 Toyota Rav4 left the roadway, drove on a grassy media and up a dirt mount before taking flight, and hitting the guardrail before colliding into a cement wall on Winthrop Street in Torrington. Hudson Valley Man Stabbed To Death By 22-Year-Old During Fight, Police Say A Hudson Valley man was stabbed to death during a fight with another person. The incident took place in Orange County in the town of Wallkill around 9:45 a.m., Thursday, Oct. 20 at the Route 17 westbound exit ramp at the intersection with Route 302. According to Wallkill Deputy Chief of Police Antonino Spano, officers responded to the area for a report of a fight in progress. 3 Taken Into Custody, Including Man With Nunchucks, After Westport Traffic Stop Three men were arrested following a traffic stop in Fairfield County in which the driver was charged with having drug paraphernalia, homemade nunchucks, and failure to appear. The incident took place in Westport on Wednesday, Oct. 12 around 8:30 p.m. According to Lt. Warning Issued In Hudson Valley For Counterfeit Oxycodone Pills Containing Fentanyl Authorities in the Hudson Valley are warning residents of the increased presence of fentanyl in the area, in particular counterfeit 30mg oxycodone pills containing the dangerous drug. Since January 2022, the Dutchess County Drug Task Force has seized several thousand counterfeit prescription pills containing fentanyl through investigations conducted in the Dutchess County area, Det. 8 Busted In Norwalk For Prostitution, Massages Without License, Police Say Eight people were arrested following a month-long investigation into two Fairfield County massage parlors for prostitution and offering massages without a license. First Human Case Of West Nile Virus For 2022 Season Reported In Rockland A Rockland County man has tested positive for the West Nile virus, this season's first human case in the county. The patient lives in Ramapo, is over the age of 50 years, and tested positive for the illness, said County Health Commissioner Dr. Patricia Schnabel Ruppert. Man Wanted For Stealing $15K Rolex From Stamford Store, Police Say Police in Fairfield County are asking the public for help identifying a man who allegedly stole a $15,000 Rolex from an area jewelry store. The incident took place around 4 p.m., on Wednesday, Oct. 19 at a jewelry store on High Ridge Road. According to Stamford Police Sgt. lD Released Of 19-Year-Old Killed In CT Crash Just Days Before His Scheduled Wedding Police have released the identity of a 19-year-old Connecticut man and member of the Connecticut National Guard killed in a two-vehicle crash just days before his wedding. Hempstead Man Sentenced After Firing 11 Shots In Attempted Murder Ambush A Long Island man has been sentenced for the shooting ambush in an apartment building that left the victim with serious physical injuries. Nassau County District Attorney Anne Donnelly announced that Arem Rodgers, age 51, of Hempstead, was sentenced to 12 years in prison on Wednesday, Oct. 19. Hudson Valley HS Junior Who Died Suddenly At Age 16 Remembered For 'His Everlasting Smile' A Hudson Valley teen is being remembered for his "everlasting smile" after his sudden death. Dutchess County resident Jack Aidan Strehl, age 16, of Arlington, died on Friday, Oct. 14. A cause of death was not provided. Known as a hardworking member of the maintenance crews at The Links at Union Vale, Jack always impressed coworkers with his work ethic for such a young man, his obituary said.
