Car Loses Wheel In Crash On Hudson Valley Road: Here's Where A one-car crash left a Hudson Valley road briefly closed as fire crews responded to the scene. The crash happened in Putnam County on Monday, Jan. 22 around 4:30 p.m., when a vehicle crashed in the area of Buckshollow Road and Astor Drive in Mahopac, according to the Mahopac Volunteer Fire Department.  The driver of the vehicle refused medical attention once first responders arrived at the scene.  The crash caused the road to close for just over a half hour as crews worked to remove the damaged vehicle, which lost a wheel. The cause of the wreck was not released.
