Vehicle With Dog Inside Stolen In Mount Vernon: Suspect At Large, Police Say Authorities are asking the public to be on the lookout for a vehicle that was stolen from a Westchester street while it was unattended and had the owner's dog inside, police announced.  The vehicle, a 2004 Honda Pilot with New Jersey license plate K47SSE, was stolen on Sunday, Jan. 7 from the 200 block of West 1st Street in Mount Vernon, the city's police department announced on Saturday, Jan. 20.  On the night of the theft, an unidentified suspect entered the vehicle while it was unattended and still running and drove away. 2 People Injured In Head-On Crash In Hudson Valley Two people were injured in a head-on collision in the Hudson Valley that left two cars severely damaged.  The incident happened in Putnam County on Friday, Jan. 19 around 2:45 p.m., when two cars collided on Crane Road (Route 32) in the area of Fini Drive in Carmel, according to the Mahopac Volunteer Fire Department.  Two people were taken to a hospital after the crash by first responders, firefighters said. The cause of the crash was not released.

Scam Alert: Suspect Demanding Payment For Missed Jury Duty, White Plains Police Warn Authorities in Westchester are advising residents of a scam involving a suspect posing as law enforcement and demanding payment for missed jury duty.  The scheme was announced on Friday, Jan. 12 by White Plains Public Safety, which said that the scams have been reported in other jurisdictions.  According to police, victims of the scam will receive a phone call from someone claiming to be a law enforcement official.
