Restaurant Once Owned By Richard Gere Closes In Bedford: 'We Are So Grateful' A restaurant once owned by famed actor and Northern Westchester resident Richard Gere has announced its closure. The Barn at Bedford Post, located in Bedford at 954 Old Post Rd., announced that it closed earlier in the year after more than three years under its current ownership, according to the eatery's website. Burglar Found With Stolen Gun, Property In Harrison, Police Say A man who allegedly burglarized a residence in Westchester was found to be in possession of both a stolen gun and stolen property, police said. Cops Catch Man Illegally Passing Stopped School Bus In Yorktown, Police Say A man with a suspended license faces charges after allegedly passing a school bus while it was displaying its stop sign in Northern Westchester, police said. Traffic Alert: Month-Long Lane Closure To Affect Hutchinson River Parkway In Harrison Commuters are being warned that a month-long lane closure will soon affect traffic on a busy parkway in Westchester. Beginning on Monday, April 24, one lane of the Hutchinson River Parkway southbound between Exit 14 (State Route 127) in Harrison and Exit 13 (Mamaroneck Avenue) in Scarsdale will close, according to the New York State Department of Transportation. 2 Cruisers Struck By Speeding Vehicle During Pursuit In Briarcliff Manor, Police Say Two police cruisers were struck by a vehicle during a high-speed chase on a busy road in Northern Westchester, authorities said. Man Stabbed During Fight In Yonkers: Suspect At Large, Police Say Authorities are working to find a suspect after a man was stabbed in a fight in Westchester, police said. The incident happened on Wednesday, April 19 in Yonkers in the area of 137 Lake Ave., when a 25-year-old man was stabbed in the arm after a dispute with a woman turned violent, according to Yonkers Police Lieutenant Dean Politopoulos.
