Art Students From Summit Academy In Peekskill Design School Cafeteria PEEKSKILL, N.Y. -- Taylor Coleman, the new art teacher at Summit Academy in Peekskill, along with her students, is painting the school's cafeteria. Some acrylic paint, a lot of imagination and careful painting are working wonders. Summit Academy is an alternative learning program and the educational home to 70 students in grades 9 through 12. Its goal is to help every student find a pathway to graduation from Peekskill High School and to success in life.

Yorktown Residents Renew Wedding Vows On 72nd Anniversary YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, NY – Marion and Ralph D’Aliso celebrated their 72nd wedding anniversary at The Country House in Yorktown Heights.The celebration took place on Saturday, Jan. 9, with a retaking of their wedding vows. Yorktown Supervisor Michael Grace presided over the ceremony. Ralph D’Aliso is a World War II veteran who served in the Army as a corporal. Following his service, he worked at Con Edison for 30 years. Marion D’Aliso was a stay-at-home mom raising their two sons. Danbury Exchange Club Honors Eagle Scouts, Girl Scout Gold Award Recipients DANBURY, Conn. -- Sean Roberts, a Danbury 18-year-old who recently become an Eagle Scout, says, "Being an Eagle Scout taught me life lessons such as to respect others, eat better and always be thankful for what I have." Sean was one of five Eagle Scout and four Girl Scout Gold Award recipients from Danbury who were honored last week, along with their families, at the Danbury Exchange Club as part of the club's annual Scouting recognition dinner. Whole Foods In Greenwich To Donate Percentage Of Purchases To Kids In Need GREENWICH, Conn. -- Whole Foods Market in Greenwich has chosen Kids in Crisis as the recipient of its 5 percent Day on Thursday, Jan. 14. John Reber has retired, and closed the family florist shop earlier in December, after over 60 years in business.
