She has a bachelor's degree in English from Stony Brook University and a Master's degree in publishing from Pace University. She married with four teenage children and is a competitive runner and avid exerciser.

Attend Mahopac Hearing On Smart Schools Investment Plan MAHOPAC, N.Y. -- The Mahopac Central School District will hold a public hearing on the Smart Schools Bond Act Fund on Monday, Dec. 21, at 7:45 p.m. in the Falls Building auditorium.The purpose of this hearing is to invite public input before the adoption of the Smart Schools Investment Plan. In January 2014, Gov. Andrew Cuomo called for New York state to invest $2 billion in its schools through a Smart Schools Bond Act. Mount Kisco Chamber Helps Light Up The Town For The Holiday Season MOUNT KISCO, N.Y. -- The Mount Kisco Chamber of Commerce helped with the holiday decorations and celebrations in town. On Friday night, a few hundred people turned out for the Tree Lighting at Village Hall. On Sunday night, a few local Clergy helped start the Chanukah holiday, also at Village Hall, by performing a ceremony, lightening the first candle and enjoying some homemade donuts. Irvington Middle School Students Create Video Book Trailers IRVINGTON, N.Y. -- Irvington Middle School students in Thomas Sandler’s English language arts class created book trailers as part of their seventh-grade narrative unit. The students were asked to read one or more full-length memoir before selecting one for which they would create a video trailer. The seventh-graders used the Web tool Animoto to execute their video projects, which were complete with text, pictures, video clips and music. Five In The Chamber To Perform Holiday Bluegrass At Stratford Library STRATFORD, Conn. -- The Stratford Library will present a holiday concert with a bluegrass flavor featuring a performance by Five in the Chamber.The concert will be Sunday, Dec. 13, at 2 p.m. Sponsored by the Claudia McCoach Memorial Fund, it is free and open to the public. Five in the Chamber is a New Haven-based rollicking bluegrass and old-time string band with a rocking edge.
