Columbus Troubadors Perform Holiday Songs At Mount Pleasant Tree Lighting MOUNT PLEASANT, N.Y. -- The Columbus Troubadors from Columbus Elementary School performed holiday songs at the annual Mount Pleasant Tree Lighting at Town Hall on Friday. Under the direction of music teacher Michael Hood, the Troubadors provided a program that included "Winter Wonderland," "Jingle Bells," "Hannukkah, Oh Hannukkah" and "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer." Their performance was followed by the tree lighting and a visit from Santa.

Construction Worker Knocked Unconscious By Beam In Danbury DANBURY, Conn. — A worker was struck by a beam Tuesday afternoon at a home construction site on Cedar Drive in Danbury near Candlewood Lake, according to the News-Times website.The worker was still unconscious as he was taken to Danbury Hospital, the News-Times said.
