Sandra Diamond Fox has been a journalist since 2005, working for The News-Times and The Redding Pilot prior to coming to the Daily Voice. She has a bachelor's degree in English from Stony Brook University and a Master's degree in publishing from Pace University. She married with four teenage children and is a competitive runner and avid exerciser.

Police: Man Charged In Newtown Shooting Fought With Girlfriend Earlier NEWTOWN, Conn. — The man accused of firing his way into a Newtown home early Sunday had been involved in a drunken dispute with his girlfriend hours earlier in Monroe, according to The News-Times.Michael Dziubina, 27, was arrested in the Newtown shooting and charged with first-degree burglary, home invasion, first-degree reckless endangerment, unlawful discharge of a firearm and first-degree criminal mischief, The News-Times said. Dutchess County Budget Cuts Property Tax Levy By More Than $1 Million DUTCHESS COUNTY, N.Y. -- The Dutchess County Legislature adopted the 2016 Dutchess County Budget by a 19-4 bipartisan vote. The adopted budget, with few amendments to Dutchess County Executive Marcus J. Molinaro’s Tentative County Budget, cuts the property tax levy by more than $1 million. Lodi Police Department Issues Roadwork Advisory For Central Avenue LODI, N.J. -- The Lodi Police Department has issued the following advisory: There will be scheduled roadwork on Central Avenue until 4 p.m. each day this week.Central Avenue between South Main Street and Grove Street will begin to be resurfaced. Dover Man Gets Prison Time For Selling Government Controlled Substance DOVER, N.Y. -- A Dover resident was sentenced to state prison after he was caught selling a government-controlled substance, reported the Poughkeepsie Journal.Dutchess County Court Judge Peter Forman sentenced Anthony Hofmann, 29, to a term of 2 years, with 1 year post-release supervision. Forman also imposed a mandatory surcharge of $375 and suspended Hofmann's driver’s license, said the Poughkeepsie Journal.
