Sandra Diamond Fox has been a journalist since 2005, working for The News-Times and The Redding Pilot prior to coming to the Daily Voice. She has a bachelor's degree in English from Stony Brook University and a Master's degree in publishing from Pace University. She married with four teenage children and is a competitive runner and avid exerciser.

Ramsey Students To Perform With Bergen County Band, Chorus RAMSEY, N.J. -- Nine students at Eric Smith Middle School in Ramsey were accepted to the 2015 Bergen County Middle School Band and Chorus.Under the guidance of their teachers, Paul Ricigliano (chorus), and Michael Stephenson (band), the students prepared music for a blind audition, competing against other middle school students from across the county. Letter: Choose A Good Book From Arcade Booksellers RYE, N.Y. -- What a pleasant surprise to find a book store in Rye today at Arcade Booksellers, 15 Purchase St. When the VCR was invented, we all thought movie theaters would become extinct, but they have not. Amazon just opened a (real) bookstore Nov. 3 in Seattle. So are we going back to the future? Arcade Booksellers is intimate and the salesperson, Alyson Powers, an English major, was both friendly and knowledgeable. One of her favorite things is to see kids get excited by books. Dispute Over Ramapo Teachers Contract Raises Tensions RAMAPO, N.Y. -- An ongoing contract dispute with the Ramapo Teacher's Association has raised tensions in the Ramapo Central School District, according to lohud.com.Teachers wearing blue T-shirts as a show of solidarity, as well as parents and students, turned out at Tuesday night's Board of Education meeting at the district offices at 45 Mountain Ave., lohud.com said.
