GOP Assembly Candidate Cappola Of River Edge Vows To Fight On
RIVER EDGE, N.J. -- Beleaguered Assembly candidate and River Edge Councilman Anthony Cappola, whose Republican party ended on Wednesday an effort to replace him on the ballot, says he is back in the race and running to clear his name, according to a report on Politico New Jersey. TENAFLY, N.J. -- The Leonia Recreation Department and the Tenafly Senior Center will host a line dancing party Thursday, Oct. 29. Peter Lieberman will provide the music for the 1 - 3 p.m. party in the Tenafly Senior Center, while Gloria Zimmerman will lead dancing. Midland Park Intersection To Be Closed For Work
MIDLAND PARK, N.J. -- The crosswalk at East Center and Prospect Sts. will be closed to all pedestrians Monday and Tuesday, Oct. 19 and 20. Town officials are asking people who use this intersection to reach Godwin and Highland schools to avoid it, plan ahead and use another route for safe crossing. A suggested alternative is to get to East Center Street from Vreeland Avenue, or use the Highland School crosswalk on Highland Ave. The temporary inconvenience will expedite curb cut replacements on Prospect Street.

TEANECK, N.J. -- “This is a case that screams motive,” Senior Assistant Bergen County Prosecutor Mello told jurors during opening arguments in Hackensack on Wednesday in the murder trial of Sui Kam “Tony” Tung for the death of popular software engineer Robert Cantor in his Teaneck home. Substitute Teacher Arraigned In Wood-Ridge Teen Sex Case
WOOD-RIDGE, N.J. -- A Union City substitute teacher was arraigned Tuesday morning on statutory rape charges involving a 15-year-old girl on six separate dates from December through February. George E. Bolzoni -- also known as George Perez, 28 -- is charged with having sex with the underage teen in a car in Hasbrouck Heights and in Wood-Ridge last December.His attorney, S.
