Ball Accidentally Sets Off Pelham High School Fire Alarm PELHAM, N.Y. -- Students at Pelham Memorial High School and Pelham Middle School were evacuated after an unanticipated fire alarm on Wednesday. The cause of the fire alarm was determined to be a ball accidentally hitting a fire sensor in the high school gymnasium at around 1:25 p.m. Students were eventually sent back to class.

Westport's North Avenue Bridge To Close For Pothole Repairs WESTPORT, Conn. -- The North Avenue Bridge in Westport will be closed from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 4 for pothole repair work. Residents are encouraged to allow for additional travel time and seek alternate routes during the repairs. Detour signage will be in place.

Winter Storms Could Impact Armonk Early Next Week A pair of winter storms could impact the area next week, according to a report by AccuWeather.com. The first storm is expected to make its path near the East Coast on Sunday and into Monday. If the storm tracks close to the coast, then rain and or wet snow could hit from the Carolinas to southern New England with snow or a wintry mix farther north, AccuWeather.com reports. Should the storm swing off the coast, then little or no precipitation would occur, a scenario which seems more likely at this point, AccuWeather noted. Former NBA Player Jayson Williams Arrested After Sullivan County Crash SULLIVAN COUNTY, N.Y. -- A former NBA player was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated in Sullivan County, according to Time Warner Cable News. Jayson Williams, 47, was charged with DWI after Sullivan County sheriff's deputies responded to a single-car crash call on Route 121 in Hortonville, reported Time Warner Cable News. The former NBA All-Star previously served time in prison for the shooting death of his limousine driver and a separate DUI sentence, said Time Warner Cable news. 'Zula Patrol' Comes To New Rochelle High School Planetarium NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. -- New Rochelle High School Planetarium will present "Zula Patrol: Under the Weather" on Wednesday, Feb. 24. Based on the top-rated NBC Saturday Morning series, the digital dome show follows the heroes of the Zula Patrol on an expedition to stop the villain Dark Truder from stealing the weather from other planets in a scheme to rule the universe. The free program is best suited for children in grades K through 5 and their families. Doors open at 6:45 p.m. and the show begins promptly at 7 p.m. Admission will not be granted once the door closes.

Police Arrest Santeria Priest In Drug Probe BRIDGEPORT, Conn. — A high priest in the Santeria religion was arrested by BridgeportpPolice on drug charges Tuesday afternoon, according to ctpost.com Felix "Cuba" Delgado, 40, was charged with being a fugitive from justice while police continue to investigate drug allegations, according to ctpost.com. He already was wanted by Massachusetts police for grave robbing, ctpost.com reported. Police reportedly found two human skulls and other bones in Delgado's apartment, ctpost said.
