Wrongfully Convicted Danbury Man Receives $170K In Damages
DANBURY, Conn. -- A Danbury man who was wrongfully convicted of exposing himself in the Newtown library nearly 15 years ago has been awarded $170,000 in damages, according to the News-Times website.
Michael Seri Jr. sued the state for $395,000 for his suffering and was awarded $370,000, the News-Times said. But $200,000 was subtracted, the amount he recovered by suing Newtown and its police department in 2009, the story said.
