Darien Chamber Presents Checks To Depot, Arts Center DARIEN, Conn. -- The Depot and Darien Arts Center received checks from the Darien Chamber of Commerce at the 11th Annual Wine Tasting and Charity Auction.  The Depot provides high school children with an environment free of drugs and alcohol. The nonprofit will use the money from the auction on programs and a new roof.  The Darien Arts Center will use their donated money on dance, music, visual arts and theater programs.

Man Charged With Entering State Prison In Dutchess With Contraband BEEKMAN, N.Y. -- Jafari R. Fray, 23, of Mount Vernon was arrested by New York State Police on Wednesday and charged with promoting prison contraband. Fray was accused of entering the Green Haven Correctional Facility with a razor blade, when he went to visit an inmate. He was arraigned in the Town of Beekman Justice Court and held without bail at the Dutchess County Jail. Fray is scheduled to appear in Town of Beekman Justice Court on Jan. 14 at 6 p.m.
