Northvale's French Spot Serves Up Classic Dining Experience NORTHVALE, N.J. -- Madeleine's Petit will offer a classic dining experience with Beaujolais nouveau wines Sunday.  Chef Gaspard Caloz opened the restaurant in 1988, and it has been named best French restaurant in New Jersey by Zagat.  Beaujolais nouveau is released on the third Thursday of November, which is often only a few weeks after the grapes for the wine were harvested. Shops and restaurants celebrate the annual tradition with special events and dining experiences. Clarkstown Learning Center's Final Construction Order Approved CLARKSTOWN, N.Y. -- The final purchase order for the Clarkstown Learning Center construction project was approved during a recent Board of Education meeting. Taxpayers originally approved $6.5 million for the construction and reconstruction project, but the work will cost approximately just $5.4 million.  Five classrooms are currently set up to receive students enrolled with the Community Learning Center. More rooms will be available as they are completed.

Through Theaddeus, Teatown aims to increase its impact in underserved communities through environmental education. The hiring comes courtesy of a generous grant from the Land Trust Alliance. Thaddeus holds an undergraduate degree in Biology from Harvard University and a master's degree in elementary education and the Creative Arts in Learning from Lesley University.  Her experience includes founding and developing the curriculum for the Cien Aguas International School in Albuquerque, N.M. …
