Sam Huff, who moved to Franklin Lakes in 1968, turns 81 Sunday.  Huff, a former linebacker for the New York Giants and Washington Redskins, was born Oct. 4, 1934 in Edna Gas, W. Va.  Huff attended and played football at West Virginia University and was drafted by the New York Giants in 1956. After eight seasons with the Giants, Huff joined Washington in 1964, where he played four more seasons. Motorcyclist Dies Of Cardiac Arrest While Riding On I-95 RYE, N.Y. -- A motorcyclist died after going into cardiac arrest Sunday while riding on I-95. As reported on Daily Voice earlier today, a crash reported at 10:45 a.m. on Sunday resulted in the closure of a stretch of the I-95.  The motorcyclist, from a location in New Jersey that has not been released, was a member of the Thug Riders club and riding to a charity event when he went into cardiac arrest, according to lohud.com.  As a result of the cardiac arrest, the unnamed biker crashed into the cement center median on the Thruway, and two other motorcyclists also crashed.  Click here to r…

Scarsdale Library Presents Program On Children In An Anxious World SCARSDALE, N.Y. -- Barbara Neiman will lead "Calming Our Children (and Ourselves) in an Anxious World; Mindfulness for Home & School" Saturday at the Scarsdale Public Library.  Neiman is a holistic occupational therapist and yoga teacher who presents national seminars. She teaches yoga and mindfulness to classrooms and trauma-informed yoga to mental health professionals.  The program begins at 10 a.m. at the library,  54 Olmsted Road. Copies of Neiman's recent book, "Mindfulness & Yoga Skills for Children and Adolescents" will be available for purchase.

NR Future Grant Winners Showcase Art Installation At New Rochelle Arts Fest NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. -- The New Rochelle Arts Collective demonstrated the "Living Room Inside Out" art installation on the Library Green on Sept. 27. Furniture donated from the Salvation Army was placed on the Green so participants could sit and behave as if they were in their own living room for the New Rochelle Arts Fest event.  A Photo Parlor with two tents, lights and cameras adjoined the Living Room.
