Southeast Cultural Arts Coalition Presents Worry Doll Workshop BREWSTER, N.Y. -- The Southeast Southeast Cultural Arts Coalition will present a worry doll workshop on Saturday at the Studio Around the Corner. Worry dolls, also known as muñecas quitapenas or trouble dolls, are small, colorful dolls that are a Mayan cultural tradition. People express their worries to the doll, then place it under their pillow to help with sleep. Kids Can Learn To Knit At Kent Public Library CARMEL, N.Y. -- Kent Public Library will host a five-week knitting program for children starting Saturday. Event At Bridgeport's Beardsley Zoo Benefits Tiny Miracles Foundation BRIDGEPORT, Conn. -- More than 300 parents and children attended the Tiny Miracles Foundation's third annual Wild Family Event at the Beardsley Zoo in Bridgeport on Sept. 27. Attendees enjoyed private zoo access, carousel rides, face painting, specialty food trucks and live music by Madison School of Rock. The benefit event supported the foundation's services and programs dedicated to aiding premature babies and their families throughout Fairfield County.
