Happy Birthday To New Rochelle's Rob Morrow NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. -- Happy Birthday to New Rochelle's Rob Morrow!  Rob Morrow was born, and currently lives, in New Rochelle and turns 53 on Monday.  An actor, director, singer and songwriter, Morrow was born Sept. 21, 1962.  Morrow earned three Golden Globe and two Emmy nominations for his portrayals of Dr. Joel Fleischman on "Northern Exposure" and FBI agent Don Eppes on "Numb3rs." He also acted in films such as "Quiz Show," "Mother" "The Bucket List" and "Atlas Shrugged: Part III."

Pequenakonck Elementary Participates In Dads Day NORTH SALEM, N.Y. -- Pequenakonck Elementary School will participate in the New York State Dads Take Your Child to School Day on Tuesday.  Fathers and other significant male role models such as grandfathers, brothers, uncles and more are encouraged to participate.  The event will begin at 8:05 a.m. with a welcome breakfast. Participants will then accompany their child to class and meet their teacher at 8:25 a.m. They will then reconvene in the multipurpose room for coffee with the principal and a discussion of resources for reading, math and behavior.

Port Chester Man, 34, Charged With Unlawfully Collecting Unemployment PORT CHESTER, N.Y. -- New York State Police have charged a Port Chester man with first-degree offering a false instrument for filing, a Class E felony, officials said. Victor Michaga, 34, was arrested following a complaint from the state Department of Labor Special Investigation Division. According to the division, Michaca allegedly collected more than $27,000 worth of unemployment benefits. He allegedly certified to the Department of Labor weekly that he was unemployed despite being employed at the time.  Michaga is scheduled to appear Oct. 2 in the City of White Plains Court.
