Weston Historical Society Marking Civil War Anniversary With Encampment
WESTON, Conn. -- The Weston Historical Society will mark the 150th anniversary of the end of the American Civil War with an encampment Saturday. The society will host the encampment of Company F of the Connecticut 15th Regiment re-enactors. The event will include demonstrations of cooking and camp building, as well as displays of tools, doctor's implements, weapons, textiles and period dress. WILTON, Conn. -- Wilton Library's "Awesome Autumn Book Sale" fundraiser returns this year from Sept. 25-27. “We received such a positive response from the community on the size of the sale last fall that we decided to make everything available again this year," said organizer Sue Sullivan. Wishbone Ash has recorded 24 original studio albums, 10 live albums, four live DVDs and a rockumentary since their formation in 1969.
