YWCA White Plains Offers Learn-to-Swim Class For Seniors WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. -- The YWCA of White Plains and Central Westchester is offering a learn-to-swim class designed specifically for senior citizens.  The beginner class is intended to help seniors keep active, stay healthy and overcome fears of water in a supportive environment led by American Red Cross-certified aquatics instructors. "Like Sunday, Like Rain" stars Leighton Meester, Debra Messing and Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong and follows the friendship between a wealthy cello prodigy and a live-in babysitter. Yorktown's Hilltop Hanover Raises Funds For Former Manager Who Has Cancer YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, N.Y. -- Hilltop Hanover Farm will host a benefit tapas dinner for former farm manager Brett Alcaro on Oct. 3.  Alcaro has bile duct and liver cancer. All proceeds will benefit Alcaro, his wife, Germaine and son, Oliver.  Area chefs and restaurants will volunteer their products and time for the tapas dinner and beer and cider tasting.  Tickets are $75 each and only 60 are available.
