Norwalk's Center For Contemporary Printmaking Hosting Retrospective
NORWALK, Conn. -- The Center for Contemporary Printmaking in Norwalk will display its 20th anniversary retrospective from Sept. 12 through Dec. 13. The opening reception for Retrospective: Highlights from the Past 20 Years takes place Sept. 12 from 2 to 5 p.m. Works from artists exhibited in CCP's Grace Ross Shanley Gallery will be exhibited. John Jay Middle School Welcomes New Sixth-Graders
LEWISBORO, N.Y. -- John Jay Middle School welcomed the new sixth grade class at a meet and greet on Aug. 26. A disc jockey out front and PTO members in the cafeteria greeted students and their families as they arrived. Students toured the hallways, compared schedules and asked questions to administrators and eighth graders about lockers, lunchtime, scheduling and more. Classes officially began Wednesday.

Ridgefield's Aldrich Museum Tempts With Sinful Saturday
RIDGEFIELD, Conn. -- Visitors to the Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum can celebrate the end of summer's lazy days with its "Sloth" exhibit and a full day of other free programs Sept. 19. "Sloth" is the Aldrich's contribution to the Fairfield/Westchester Museum Alliance's Seven Deadly Sins exhibition series. NORWALK, Conn. -- The Center for Contemporary Printmaking will celebrate its 20th anniversary with a Steamroller Printmaking Festival on Sept. 19. The steamroller will serve as a printing press as it rolls over carved boards to produce large-scale relief prints. SCARSDALE, N.Y. -- The Hoff-Barthelson Music School will present the music of Senegal and the Congo at Music of Africa on Oct. 4. Somers' Muscoot Farm Celebrates 40th Anniversary
SOMERS, N.Y. -- Muscoot Farm celebrated its 40th anniversary on Monday. Visitors engaged with the animals and enjoyed live music, hayrides, a farmers market and activities for families and children. County Executive Rob Astorino greeted visitors and thanked the staff, friends and supporters of the farm. Before its development as a county park, the 777-acre Muscoot Farm belonged to the Hopkins family as a private farm. The Hopkins family grew produce and raised livestock at the "gentleman's farm," and used it as a summer estate.
