Superheroes Coming To Scarsdale Library SCARSDALE, Conn. -- Superheroes are flying into the Scarsdale Public Library the week of July 27.  Sgt. Major MAJOR, also known as David Engel, will bring the Superhero Training Academy to the library on July 27 at 7 p.m. At the academy, children ages three and up can learn how to harness their superpowers in an "action-clown" show with nonsensical competitions, on-their-feet participation and more. Children ages 2 to 4 can participate in Toddler Superhero Crafts on July 28 at 10:30 a.m. to design and create their own masks.

Pleasantville's Burns Film Screens Restored Version Of 'The Third Man' PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. -- The Jacob Burns Film Center will screen the 4K restoration of Carol Reed's "The Third Man" starting July 17.  Reed's film noir stars Orson Welles, Alida Valli and Joseph Cotten and was nominated for three Academy Awards and won for Best Cinematography.  Tickets are $7 for members or $12 for non-members. The Jacob Burns Film Center is at 364 Manville Road.
