Shakespeare On The Sound Sets Stage For 'All's Well That Ends Well'
NORWALK, Conn. -- Shakespeare on the Sound in Rowayton will put on "All's Well That Ends Well" as the centerpiece of its 20th anniversary season from June 11 to June 28. Kent Library Hosting Emergency Preparedness Training Session
CARMEL, N.Y. -- The New York National Guard is presenting an emergency preparedness training event from 6-7:30 p.m. June 17 at the Kent Public Library. The free event will provide instruction on how to make an emergency preparedness kit and how to respond to a natural or man-made disaster. All participants will receive a certificate and a "Z card." Wipro And Mercy College Announce Fellowship Inductees
DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. -- Mercy College announced its inductees into the Wipro Science Education Fellowship May 21. "Science education is so important for the future that students need an excellent foundation," said Amanda Gunning, assistant professor of science education. "We are happy to play a part in reaching our neediest districts and students through the Wipro Science Education Fellowship.” The fellowship is a two-year science teacher-leadership program that runs collaboratively with Mercy College and the University of Massachusetts Boston. NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. -- Students at Albert Leonard Middle School recently performed at Dorney Park for the Music in the Parks competition. The student musicians were awarded the following honors: Collective ALMS groups, 1st place overall; Orchestra, Superior rating; Band, Excellent rating; Chorus, Good rating. The string students received the Best Overall Orchestra group. The Espirit de Corps award was awarded to the entire group of students.

Norwalk Roads To Temporarily Close On May 25 For Parade
NORWALK, Conn. -- The Norwalk Police Department has announced a temporary closure for roads on the Memorial Day Parade route on Monday. The northbound and southbound ramps of I-95 Exit 16, Van Zant Street and East Avenue (south of Route 1) will be closed to all traffic. All other I-95 exits in Norwalk will remain open during the parade. The closures run from 10 a.m. until around 12:30 p.m. on Monday. The parade route begins at Veterans Park in East Norwalk, proceeds east on Van Zant Street, then north on East Avenue and concludes at the Norwalk Green.

Cortlandt Kicks Off Summer Concert Series Thursday
CORTLANDT, N.Y. -- The town of Cortlandt and the Cortlandt Manor Rotary Club will kick off the Summer Movie and Concert Series on Thursday with The Lost Soulz Band. The free concert takes place at Cortlandt Waterfront Park on Riverview Avenue in Verplanck. Openers U Crew, a band of local high school students, will perform at 6 p.m., and The Lost Soulz Band performs at 7 p.m. Food vendors will be on-site. In the event of inclement weather, the concert will be moved to the Hendrick Hudson High School Auditorium at 2166 Albany Post Road in Montrose.
