New York Times Rates Port Chester Restaurant 'Very Good'
PORT CHESTER, N.Y. -- Port Chester restaurant Aqui Es Sante Fe, where Colombian dishes are served, received a "very good" review in The New York Times.The establishment, open since 1998, is owned by Olga Santos and her son, Carlos, a business Olga started after several years in the United States working as a house cleaner, baby sitter and waitress doing catering, said The New York Times.

Gas Prices Still Accelerating In Connecticut, Nation
FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- Gas prices in Connecticut are up with the approaching Labor Day weekend and many planning to take to the roads for a last summer vacation fling. But they're still lower than they were at this time in 2015, according to an AAA survey.
Today, the Nutmeg State gas average price is $2.30 per gallon representing a four-cent increase from this time last week, said the survey.
Nationally, the average price of a gallon of gas is also up, by six cents from today's $2.22 average over last week's $2.16, said the report.

Former Clerk Fills Spring Valley Deputy Position
SPRING VALLEY, N.Y. -- Sherry Scott, who used to be the Spring Valley village clerk, was made deputy clerk by Mayor Demeza Delhomme, even though he did not reappoint her three years ago, according to a report by lohud.com.Scott starts Monday. She will finish the term of Herby Jean-Charles, whose resignation came Friday, said lohud.com.
