Stephen C. Guzzi, 51, Poughkeepsie Resident
POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. — Poughkeepsie resident Stephen C. Guzzi died Sunday, May 8. He was 51.
Born June 25, 1964, in Newburgh, Guzzi was employed as an electrician and enjoyed playing the guitar.
He is survived by his parents, Charles and Grace Bishop Guzzi; a brother, Charles Guzzi Jr.; sisters, Deborah Salmon and Pamela Haynes; and several nieces and nephews.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.

WAPPINGERS FALLS, N.Y. — Wappingers Falls resident Anthony J. Carozza, Jr., died on Tuesday, May 10. He was 73.
He was born on Jan. 29, 1943, in Yonkers to Anthony and Rose Blose Carozza, Sr.
He married Sherilyn Livermore on Feb. 28, 1964.
Prior to his retirement, Carozza worked as a corrections officer at Fishkill Correctional Facility and previously at Matteawan State Hospital and Green Haven.

Elaine Mizdal, 79, Paramus Resident
PARAMUS, N.J. — Paramus resident Elaine Mizdal (Blondek) died Monday, May 9. She was 79.
Before retiring, Mizdal worked for CBS Television, the Paramus Board of Education, Fairleigh Dickinson University and Accounts on Call as a administrative assistant.
She was a parishioner of the R.C. Church of the Annunciation in Paramus.
Mizdal is survived by her daughters, Susan Rieman and her husband Davis, and Lois Mizdal and her close friend Debbie Hough. She also is survived by granddaughter, Hayley.
Mizdal was predeceased by her husband, Louis Mizdal.

Helene Wilner, 65, Of Garnerville
GARNERVILLE, N.Y. — Garnerville resident Helene Wilner died on Monday, May 9. She was 65.
She was born in the Bronx in 1951, to Nathan and Miriam Blumberg and grew up in Queens.
Wilner moved with her family to Rockland County in 1977, living in Pomona and afterward in Garnerville.
For the past decade, she was a teacher's aide, first in Haverstraw Middle School and then at Fieldstone Middle School.

Leonard O. Kistner, 76, Poughkeepsie Resident
POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. — Poughkeepsie native Leonard O. Kistner, of Walton, N.Y., died on Monday, May 9. He was 76.
He was born Jan. 14, 1940 in Poughkeepsie, to Otto S. Kistner Jr. Dorothy E. Dimick.
Kistner graduated from Arlington High School and served in the U.S., Army receiving an honorable discharge.
He was the proprietor of L & O Sanitation then sold the business and was a bartender at Doc’s Hollow in Millbrook.
He joined Local 1000 as a laborer and later became proprietor of Automatic Insect Control Systems in Poughkeepsie before retiring.
