Joseph Harry George, 84, Chappaqua Resident CHAPPAQUA, N.Y. — Chappaqua resident Joseph Harry George died Monday, May 9. He was 84. Edith K. O'Brien, 85, Yonkers Resident YONKERS, N.Y. — Yonkers resident Edith K. O'Brien died Monday, May 9. She was 85. A native of the Bronx, N.Y., O'Brien was employed by Columbia Presbyterian Hospital in New York as a chief of histology.  She also was a 20-year volunteer at St. Joseph's Hospital, worked for the Yonkers Board of Elections and was a member of the Yonkers Senior Group.  O'Brien is survived by her sons, Thomas and John O'Brien; and her sister, Mary Cohane.  O'Brien was predeceased by her husband, George. Her funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Sinatra Memorial Home Inc., 601 Yonkers Ave., Yonkers.

A native of Poland, Czura came to the United States at 18 and worked in the maintenance department for General Motors in Tarrytown for 37 years, before retiring in 1990. He was born in the Villa De Santa Lucia, Italy, on March 15, 1936, to Basilo and Rocca Grimaldi.  Grimaldi came to the U.S. at the age of 20.
