Frances L. Yarter, 90, Lifelong Port Chester Resident
PORT CHESTER, N.Y. — Lifelong Port Chester resident Frances L. Yarter died on Friday, May 6. She was 90.
She was born Dec. 30, 1925, in Port Chester to Wilbur and Gertrude Horton Clark.
Yarter graduated from Port Chester High School in 1943 and was a clerical worker for Westchester Medical Billing.
She is survived by her son, James Yarter and his wife Debbie of Port Chester, NY., daughter Paula Mastroianni and her husband Thomas, grandchildren, Benjamin Yarter, Stephen Grisanti and Hope Grisanti, a great-granddaughter and sisters Harriet Ferris and Barbara Ferris, and sister-in-law Elin…
Susan Congdon, 94, Longtime Mamaroneck Resident
MAMARONECK, N.Y. — Longtime Mamaroneck resident Susan Congdon (Insardi) died on Thursday, May 5. She was 94.
Born in Colfelice, Italy, Congdon came to the U.S. with her parents and older siblings in 1922.
A graduate of Mamaroneck High School and Westchester Business School, Congdon was employed by the firm of Klein, Hinds & Finke, N.Y. for seven years.
She also worked as both a typist and secretary for Mamaroneck Schools, retiring in 2006 after 37 years of service.
She was inducted into the Mamaroneck High School Hall of Fame in 2006 as an associate member.

Joseph A. Galgano, 87, Mount Vernon Resident
MOUNT VERNON, N.Y. — Mount Vernon resident Joseph Galgano died on Saturday, May 7. He was 87.
He was born on March 31, 1928, to Angelo and Angelina Galgano.
Galgano was predeceased by wife, Stephanie Galgano (Santola).
He is survived by his daughter, Catherine Galgano; his son, Joseph and his wife, Silvia Galgano; grandson Stephen; and sister, Annette Yannantuono.

Lottie M. Perno, 80, Garfield Resident
GARFIELD, N.J. — Longtime Garfield resident Lottie M. Perno (Wdowiak) died Saturday, May 7. She was 80.
She was a parishioner of Mt. Virgin Church and a homemaker.
Perno is survived by three children, Sharon Scala and husband Andrew, Anthony Perno and Michele Cimino and husband Thomas; and grandchildren Jacklyn Scala, Andrew Scala Jr., Alicia Yaver, Meliss Yaver and Thomas Cimino Jr.
She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph in 1999; and sister, Helen Sudol.
Visiting will take place on from 7-9 p.m. Tuesday.
