Jane Kenlon Wands, 96, Of Yonkers, U.S. Army WWII First Lieutenant
YONKERS, N.Y. – Jane Kenlon Wands, of Yonkers passed away Dec. 6, 2014, peacefully among her family. She was 96.
Wands was the oldest of seven children of Marie Burke and Francis Xavier Kenlon, of Mount Vernon. She graduated as an RN from St. Vincent Hospital School of Nursing in New York, served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was discharged as a first lieutenant. She was an active member of St. Paul the Apostle Church in Yonkers for more than 50 years. Her faith, family and friends were the most important parts of her life.

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. – Stanislawa (Uszkiewicz) Rudzik, of Bridgeport, beloved wife of Walerian Rudzik, died Tuesday March 17, 2015. She was 89.
Born in Poland, she was the daughter of Michael and Stefania Kisielewski Uszkiewicz. A resident of Bridgeport for more than 63 years, her family was the center of her life. A member of St. Michael the Archangel Church, she also enjoyed gardening.

FAIRFIELD, Conn. – Constance Edith Morehouse, of Fairfield, died Sunday, March 15. She was 81.
Morehouse was a paraprofessional for the Fairfield Public School system for 25 years. She also worked for Fairfield Adaptive Recreation as a camp counselor for 20 years. Morehouse was an amazingly compassionate woman who enjoyed assisting individuals with special needs her entire life.

Fannie Raisides, 83, Lifelong Fairfield Resident
FAIRFIELD, Conn. – Fannie Raisides, of Fairfield, wife and best friend of 52 years of Paul Raisides, died Monday, March 16, at Bridgeport Hospital. She was 83.
Born in Fairfield, the daughter of Anthony and Helen Tambakis, she had been a lifelong town resident. She was a graduate of Roger Ludlowe High School and attended Bay Path Junior College in Massachusetts. Raisides was a member of the Marie Lafayette Chapter 111 Order of the Eastern Star and served as grand deputy for the State of Connecticut Order of the Rainbow for Girls.

Anthony Yurkas, 91, Of Stamford, WWII Navy Veteran
STAMFORD, Conn. – Anthony Yurkas, of Stamford, died at home on Tuesday, March 17. He was 91.
He was born in Jurovo, Croatia, on March 21, 1923, to John and Mary Zvon Yurkas. Yurkas graduated from J.M Wright Technical School and worked for Electrolux Corp. in Old Greenwich for 44 years as a mechanical engineer. He was a World War II Navy veteran, machinist mate third class. He was a member of the Croatian Fraternal Union, Society of Mechanical Engineers and the Industrial Club. He dearly and deeply loved his family and Molly, his canine companion.
