New Canaan Student Makes Dean's List At University Of Northwestern NEW CANAAN, Conn. – Elsa Dyk, daughter of Philip Dyk of New Canaan, was named with High Honors to the fall semester Dean's List at University of Northwestern - St. Paul. Dyk is pursuing a degree in Intercultural Studies and English Teaching at Northwestern. Full-time students with a grade point average (GPA) during the semester of 3.65 (out of 4.0) or higher. Highest honors are awarded to students with a GPA of 3.90-4.0, high honors are awarded to students with a GPA of 3.75-3.89 and honors are awarded to students with a GPA of 3.65-3.74.

Greenwich's Steve Cohen Focuses New Fund On Quantitative Investing STAMFORD, Conn. – Since Steve Cohen of Greenwich founded the investment firm Point72 Asset Management in Stamford, about 30 employees have been hired to get a better grasp on quantitative investing, according to Bloomberg Business. Point72 was founded after Cohen's SAC Capital was shut down and required to pay fines for an insider trading settlement, the report said. He was hired in 2009 as the managing director of operations for the district. Mary Molluzo, Of Pelham, 93 NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. – Mary Molluzzo, of Pelham, died on Saturday, March 7, at United Hebrew Nursing Home in New Rochelle. She was 93 years old. Molluzzo was born to Salvatore and Carmela Molluzzo in Manhattan. She was the youngest of three children. Her passion for sewing and making clothes at a young age led her to create and run her own business, Tonmar, on 239th Street in the Bronx. Molluzzo was generous and an active volunteer at Albert Einstein Hospital. Molluzzo is predeceased by her brothers, Carmine and Anthony.
