Westport Launches Memorial Tree Program To Honor Veterans WESTPORT, Conn. – Just in time for Veterans Day, Nov. 11, the Westport Tree Board has announced a special “Memorial Tree Program” for Veterans Green in downtown Westport. Trees may be purchased to honor veterans for their service and sacrifice. Due to limited space in Veterans Green, only nine planting locations will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. The size and species of each tree will be determined by the Westport tree warden.
