The accident happened between Old School House Road and New Hempstead Road. Authorities were on site making repairs. While the road remains open for now, authorities recommend avoiding any driving as conditions will worsen throughout the day.

Witnesses reported seeing a tall man in a gray-hooded sweatshirt fire a handgun in that area, according to the Connecticut Post.
