Gene E. Pentenero, 72, Of White Plains
WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. – Gene E. Pentenero, a longtime resident of White Plains, died on Saturday, Jan. 16. He was 72.
Pentenero was was born on July 12, 1943, to Albert and Elsie Pentenero.
He was raised in Scarsdale, attending private schools in Massachusetts and graduating from White Plains High School.
He worked for the City of White Plains Parking Authority and retired from the Westchester County Parks Department.
He is survived by his wife, Ann; daughter, Gina A. Romano-Sahakian and her husband, John, and two grandchildren.
Visitation will be on Wednesday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. …
Emma J. Glessmann, 85, Of Pelham Manor
PELHAM MANOR, N.Y. – Emma Joan Glessmann, a longtime resident of Pelham Manor, died on Friday, Jan. 15. She was 85.
Glessman was born in 1930 in New York City to Joseph and Victoria Maggio.
Graduating from Hunter College with a master's degree in education, she was an elementary school teacher in both New York City and Pelham for more than 30 years.
She is survived by her son, James and brother, Louis Maggio.
Glessmann was predeceased by her husband, Louis.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, Jan. 20, at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 559 Pelham Manor Road. …
Ernest F. Chariott, 78, Of Norwalk
NORWALK, Conn. – Ernest F. Chariott, of Norwalk, died on Saturday, Jan. 16 at Norwalk Hospital. He was 78.
Chariott was born in Norwalk to Ernest and Beatrice (Keeler) Chariott.
After serving in the Navy, he began Chariott’s Floor Sanding.
Chariott is survived by two sons, Andrew and Anthony; his wife Kim; two grandchildren; two siblings, T.J. and Maria Ribeiro; and friend Kevin Kindelin.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 20, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Ave., Norwalk.

John Bukowski, 86, Of Stamford
STAMFORD, Conn. – John Bukowski, of Stamford, died Jan. 15. He was 86.
Bukowski was born Nov. 14, 1929, in Maniowy, Poland, to Antoni and Regina Bukowski.
He emigrated to the United States in 1960, working as a mechanic and auto body repairman.
Bukowski was predeceased by his parents, wife Katherine and son Joseph.
He is survived by two daughters, Mary, and Janina Miller, one grandson and extended family members throughout the United States, Canada and Poland.

Eileen E. McLaughlin, 94, Formerly Of Elmwood Park
ELMWOOD PARK, N.J. – Eileen E. McLaughlin (nee Knox), of Brick and formerly of Elmwood Park, died Friday, Jan. 15. She was 94.
McLaughlin was born and raised in Jersey City, living in Elmwood Park for more than five decades before moving to Brick.
She was predeceased by her husband Walter, brother James and sister Florence.
McLaughlin is survived by three children, James and his wife Anna, Thomas and Maureen Adams, and Debra Perez and her husband Jerry; and various grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
