Darien Democrats Elect Committee Members DARIEN, Conn. – Darien Democrats elected 12 members to the Democratic Town Committee in a caucus held last week at the Town Hall, according to the Darien Times. The members elected were interim chairman David Bayne, caucus chair Frank Adelman, Christine Castles, Sharad Samy, Charles Baldwin, Pamela Sparkman, Barbara Thorne, Barbara Yantorno, Michael Klein, Michael Yantorno, Randall Klein, and Jennifer Hardt, the Times said. Greenburgh Police Recover Loaded, .357 Magnum After Search GREENBURGH, N.Y. – A fully loaded semi-automatic revolver was one of three weapons discovered during a police search Friday in Greenburgh, authorities said. Two handguns and a set of brass knuckles were uncovered at a home on Old Country Road, police said. Along with the fully loaded .357 Magnum, a defaced .380 Davis semi-automatic pistol was found, police said. Police arrested 24-year old Steven Montana on multiple charges, including third-degree criminal possession of a weapon and criminal possession of a firearm.

Darien HS Boys' Hockey Holding Fundraiser For ALS Research DARIEN, Conn. – The Darien High School boys' hockey team will hold a fundraiser for ALS research during their game against New Canaan on Saturday, Jan. 16, at 3:50 p.m. at the Darien Ice Rink. The initiative is part of a two-week group effort between boys' and girls' hockey teams in Fairfield County to raise funds for the ALS Therapy Development Institute in honor of a family in Wilton. Almost 30 games are being played between Jan. 9 and 23, with a goal to raise $100,000 by the end of the fundraiser.
