Metro-North Adjusts, Adds Trains For New Year's Celebrations FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. – Metro-North has announced its plans for New Year's Eve and Day, adjusting some schedules, including the New Haven Line, and reiterating that alcohol is banned in stations from noon New Year's Eve until noon New Year's Day. There will be modified peak schedules, including some consolidations in the morning, and extra outbound service from noon to 4 p.m., and extra inbound service in the late afternoon and early evening for those wanting to experience Times Square. Anthony Facchiano, 85, Of Poughkeepsie POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. – Anthony Facchiano, of Poughkeepsie and formerly of the Bronx, died at Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie on Wednesday, Dec. 23. He was 85. Facchiano was born in the Bronx on April 18, 1930 to Luigi and Gulia (nee Ferraro) Facchiano, serving in the Army during the Korean War. After his service, he spent 25 years as a postal clerk before retiring in 1989. Facchiano was predeceased by his parents, five siblings, Mary Rizzo, Angelo, Jimmy, Suzie Finelli and Millie; and son-in-law Anthony Giordano.
