Woman Hits Officer In Face During Trespass Booking In Hudson Valley, Police Say A woman has been charged with hitting a Hudson Valley police officer in the face while being booked for trespassing in an apartment. The incident took place in Ulster County on Thursday, July 6 in Saugerties. Officers responded to an apartment on Pine Grove School Road where they found 59-year-old Meggin Patricia Cox, said Saugerties Police Chief Joseph Sinagra. Cox was arrested after illegally entering the apartment of a former acquaintance and when police arrived, Cox refused to leave the apartment, Sinagra said. Bridgeport Murder Suspect Nabbed In Georgia, Police Say A Bridgeport man wanted since 2020 for allegedly killing another man was nabbed down south. On Monday, July 10, detectives from the Bridgeport Police Homicide Squad confirmed with law enforcement officers in Fulton County, Georgia that they had in their custody 58-year-old Anthony Marion of Bridgeport, said Capt. Connecticut Man Dies At Rhode Island Beach, Police Say A Connecticut man died after his body was found floating in the water at a Rhode Island beach. Hartford County resident Frank Sievel, age 74, of Farmington, was pulled from the ocean around 12:45 p.m. Friday, July 7 at the Misquamicut State Beach in Westerly, Rhode Island. According to Westerly Police Chief Paul Gingerella, lifeguards pulled Sievel, who was unresponsive, from the water and began life-saving measures. Car Wash Employee Run Over By Customer In Greenwich A car wash employee suffered serious injuries after being run over by a customer in Fairfield County. The incident took place in Greenwich at the Splash Car Wash at 73 Post Road around 10:20 a.m., on Monday, July 10. An initial investigation determined that an employee of the car wash was struck by a vehicle exiting the wash. Video: 'Street Takeover' Closes Down New Tappan Zee Bridge Near Tarrytown One person was arrested and multiple others were detained after staging a takeover of the new Tappan Zee Bridge. The incident took place in Westchester County late Saturday night, July 8 into early Sunday morning, July 9 on the bridge near Tarrytown. Wrong-Way Driver Causes Bridgeport Crash, Multiple Injuries Reported Multiple people were injured when a driver drove in the wrong direction on Route 8 in Fairfield County causing a five-vehicle pileup. The crash took place in Bridgeport just north of Exit 3 around 6:30 p.m., Sunday, July 9 on Route 8, according to the Connecticut State Police. 2 Critical Following 3-Vehicle CT Crash Two people are in critical condition following a three-vehicle crash in Connecticut. The took place in New Haven County on Sunday, July 9 at 225 Foxon Boulevard in New Haven. The New Haven Police Department responded to the scene and found a Nissan Pathfinder that had collided with a Mercedes Benz E350 and a Hyundai Elantra, said Capt. Rose Dell, of the New Haven Police. Man Nabbed With Loaded Gun During Packed Stamford Fireworks Display, Police Say A man was nabbed on the beach during a packed fireworks display after police received a tip through the CrimeStoppers gun program in Fairfield County. Justin Ramos, age 27, of Stamford, was arrested around 7 p.m. on Friday, July 7 at Cummings Beach with a loaded gun in his backpack, said Stamford Assistant Police Chief Richard Conklin. Person Rushed To Westchester Medical Center After Being Hit By Train A person is in critical condition after being struck by a train in the Hudson Valley. The incident took place in Rockland County early Monday, July 10 at 1 Municipal Plaza in the village of Spring Valley. Spring Hill Community Ambulance Corps responded to the scene and found that the person was heavily pinned under the New Jersey Transi train, which required a prolonged extrication.
