She worked four years at Hometown News as a general assignment reporter, then another two years at Spacecoast Daily in Cocoa Beach, Florida. Sleeping 23-Year-Old Driver Crashes Into Hudson Valley Creek A 23-year-old man who allegedly fell asleep at the wheel of his 2010 Ford SUV ended up having to be rescued from a fast-moving creek. The incident took place in Dutchess County on Monday, July 3 on Route 9G near the intersection of Lasher Road in the town of Red Hook. Red Hook Police said officers responded to a call for help after the driver found himself trapped on the roof of his SUV which was partially submerged in a creek with fast-moving water. Man Attacks Wendy's Employee On Long Island Police on Long Island are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate the man who allegedly struck an employee at a fast food restaurant last month. 4-Year-Old Suffers Serious Injuries In I-95 Crash In Stamford A 4-year-old girl suffered serious injuries in a multi-vehicle crash that injured five others on a stretch of I-95. The crash occurred in Fairfield County on the southbound side in Stamford around 7:30 p.m., Saturday, July 1. According to Connecticut State Police, an 18-year-old Stamford man was driving a 2013 BMW X3 at a high rate of speed when he attempted to change lanes and struck two cars. Second Teen Dies A Week After Violent CT Crash Kills 15-Year-Old Girl A second Connecticut teen has died from injuries suffered in a crash that also killed a 15-year-old girl last month. The crash took place around 4:40 a.m. Sunday, June 25 in Windham County on Allen Hill Road near Route 205 in the small town of Brooklyn. Kidnapping Suspect: 23-Year-Old Grabs, Assaults, Drugs Victim, Norwalk Police Say A victim lived through a day of fear and assaults at the hands of a Connecticut man the person knew, according to authorities. On Wednesday, July 5, Norwalk Police received a complaint that New Haven County resident Enrique Rivas-Castillo, age 23, of Ansonia, had threatened the victim over the phone, said Lt. School District In Hudson Valley Names HS Alum As New Superintendent A new school superintendent has been named to take over a Hudson Vally school district after the former leader resigned. Dr. Daniel Erceg was unanimously approved to take the helm of the Saugerties Central School District in Ulster County at a special Board of Education meeting held on Tuesday, June 27. Sexual Assault Of Juvenile: 46-Year-Old CT Man Charged A Connecticut man has been charged with the alleged sexual abuse of a juvenile victim for more than two years. New Haven County resident Anthony Lake, age 46, of Milford, was arrested on Wednesday, July 5 by Milford Police. Cortlandt Manor Teen ID'd As Person Who Jumped From Bear Mountain Bridge New York State Police have identified the person who jumped from Bear Mountain Bridge as a local teen. The incident happened at 10:45 a.m. on Friday, June 30. The boy, age 17, was a resident of Cortlandt Manor, said state police. His body was recovered by the Rockland County Sheriff's Office Marine Unit, said Trooper AJ Hicks. 28-Year-Old Dies At Westchester Medical Center After BMW Crashes In Hudson Valley A 28-year-old was killed after passing a dump truck on the shoulder of a roadway and then hitting a Cadillac Silverado in the Hudson Valley. Rockland County resident Dillon Ortiz, was killed in Orange County around 2 p.m. on Wednesday, July 5 on Route 293 in the town of Highlands.
