Child Sex Abuse: Hudson Valley Man Charged With Assault Of Minor Under 13 A Hudson Valley man has been charged with the sexual assault of a child under the age of 13. Orange County resident Liberio Nieto, age 28, of the city of Middletown, was arrested on Tuesday, June 6 by the New York State Police Child Abuse Unit. Working in conjunction with Orange County Child Protective Services, state police received allegations regarding an adult male engaging in sexual conduct with a child less than thirteen years old, said Trooper Steven Nevel. Woman Robs Banks In Shelton, Stratford, Police Say A 46-year-old woman has been charged with robbing TD Bank in Fairfield County and at least one other. New Haven County resident Bernadette Volikas, of Milford, was arrested on Friday, June 2 for the robbery which took place on Thursday, May 4 in Shelton. Woman Punched In Face By Man With Knife At Long Island Mall Police on Long Island are investigating after a 20-year-old woman was punched in the face at an area mall by a man holding a knife. The incident took place in Nassau County around 420 p.m., Monday, June 5 at the Roosevelt Field Mall in East Garden City. CT Man Killed In Crash One Day Before 80th Birthday A Connecticut man was killed in a single-vehicle crash, one day before his 80th birthday. Hartford County resident James Michlewski, of Southington, was killed in Southington, around 550 a.m., on Monday, June 5. When police responded to the report of a crash they found Michlewski's vehicle had hit a tree in the area of 133 Meriden Ave., said Lt. Keith Egan of the Southington Police.
