She spent 17 years at Florida Today in Melbourne, Florida as a general assignment reporter, crime reporter, entertainment reporter and restaurant critic. She worked four years at Hometown News as a general assignment reporter, then another two years at Spacecoast Daily in Cocoa Beach, Florida. She attended Eastern Florida State College in Melbourne, Florida.

Father, Son Stabbed By Contractor, Worker On Long Island A Long Island father and son were stabbed by a contractor and another man during a fight at the home where the two were working. The incident took place in Suffolk County around 5:30 p.m., Wednesday, June 7 at 2686 44th St. in Copiague. According to Suffolk County Police, a man and his son were working as contractors at the residence, when they were involved in an altercation with two of the residents of the home. Hit-Run: Motorcycle Strikes Woman In Darien, Flees Scene Police in Fairfield County are asking the public for assistance identifying a motorcycle and its driver who allegedly struck a woman in a crosswalk and fled the scene. The incident took place in Darien around 8 p.m. on Sunday, June 4 on Post Road in front of Rory’s restaurant. According to Sgt. 20-Year-Old Stabs Man To Death On Long Island, Police Say A 20-year-old man has been charged with the stabbing death of another man on Long Island. The incident took place in Suffolk County around 330 p.m., Tuesday, June 6 on Nugent Drive in the hamlet of Riverside. According to Suffolk County Police, Southampton Town Police responded to Nugent Drive, west of Woodhull Avenue, after a report of a man being stabbed. Lighting Strikes Chimney, Ignites Fire At 3-Story Bridgeport Home A lightning strike to the chimney of a three-story Fairfield County home started a fire. The incident took place in Bridgeport around 6 p.m., Tuesday, June 6 on Mountain Grove Street, said Scott Appleby, director of emergency management for the city. CT Man Kills Mother In Park, Calls 911 To Report Crime A Connecticut man is being held on a $2 million bond after he called 911 to report that he had killed his mother in an area park. The incident took place in Litchfield County around 8:30 a.m., Monday, June 5 at Harrybrooke Park in New Milford. 19-Year-Old Dies From Apparent Overdose During Standoff With Police In Hudson Valley A teenager died from an apparent drug overdose after threatening to shoot police and holding them at bay for more than an hour in the Hudson Valley. CT Woman Attacks Police, Threatens To Beat Up Bus Driver, Cops Say A Connecticut woman has been charged with assault on a police officer after threatening to beat up a state transit bus driver. New Haven County resident Alaja Dixon, age 21, of New Haven, was arrested on Sunday, June 4 in Milford. According to Milford Police, officers were dispatched to 1588 Boston Post Road for a disturbance on a CT Transit bus.
