She worked four years at Hometown News as a general assignment reporter, then another two years at Spacecoast Daily in Cocoa Beach, Florida. Drunk Driver Hits Mailboxes, Drives Across Lawn In Hudson Valley, Police Say A 70-year-old Hudson Valley man was charged with DWI after he allegedly lost control of his vehicle and drove across a lawn, sideswiping a row of mailboxes. Rockland County resident Peter Didenko, of Haverstraw, was arrested around 4:15 p.m. Saturday, May 20 in Stony Point, said Lt. Greg Becker, of the Stony Point Police. Didenko was found by Stony Point Police patrol officers in the area of Central Highway and Route 210 when they responded to a call for a one-car accident. Multiple Shots Fired: Police ID CT Man Killed In Hail Of Bullets Police have identified a Connecticut man who was shot multiple times and killed on a neighborhood street. The incident took place in New Haven County around 7:30 p.m., Thursday, May 25 in the area of 234 Circular Ave., in Waterbury. The victim has been identified as Denroy Robinson, age 26, of Waterbury, said Lt. Ryan Bessette, of the Waterbury Police. Home Invasion Murder Of Woman: Stamford Man Sentenced To 85 Years In Prison For Horrific Attack A Fairfield County man has been sentenced to prison for the brutal home invasion murder of an 93-year-old woman. Stamford/Norwalk State’s Attorney Paul Ferencek announced on Tuesday, May 23, that Robert C. Teen Seriously Injured Doing 'Wheelie' On Dirt Bike On CT Roadway A 17-year-old Connecticut teen was seriously injured while allegedly doing a "wheelie" on a dirt bike. The incident took place in New Haven County around 4:45 p.m., Monday, May 22, near East Broadway and Shea Avenue in Milford. An initial investigation revealed that a green Kawasaki dirt bike was traveling west on East Broadway near Shea Avenue when the operator lost control and fell from the dirt bike while he was doing a "wheelie," police said. CT Burglary Suspect Crawls On Floor To Avoid Alarms, Video Cameras Connecticut State Police are asking for help identifying the suspect in a Dollar General burglary. The burglary took place in Windham County around 12 a.m., on Sunday, May 14 at the Dollar General store located at 1075 Main St., in Killingly. Know Them?: Police Release Video Of Stratford Shooting Suspects Police in Fairfield County are asking the public for help identifying three men caught on video who are suspects in a shooting. The shooting took place in Stratford on Frank Avenue near Benjamin Street on Friday, May 19. Stratford Police shared the video on Facebook on Thursday, May 25 in hopes of someone recognizing them. Bear Escapes Capture After Breaking Into Garage Looking For Grill At CT Home A black bear managed to "let itself out" of a garage and escape after breaking in in search of a grill that had been used earlier in the day. The incident took place in Hartford County at a home on Walnut Hill Road in Hartland on Sunday, May 21.
