She worked four years at Hometown News as a general assignment reporter, then another two years at Spacecoast Daily in Cocoa Beach, Florida. Head-On Crash: 1 Killed, 1 Injured In CT A Connecticut man was killed after colliding head-on with another vehicle on a busy roadway. The crash took place in Windham County on Route 6 (Providence Road) around 8 p.m., Monday, May 29 in the small town of Brooklyn. According to Connecticut State Police, Joseph Kowal, age 81, of Dayville (a hamlet in the town of Killingly) was driving a 2001 Chrysler Sebring east on Route 6 at the intersection of Day Street when he collided head-on with a 2021 Hyundai Palisade. 18-Year-old Stabbed To Death In Bridgeport Police in Fairfield County are searching for clues after an 18-year-old was stabbed to death. The teen was found in Bridgeport around 7:45 p.m., Sunday, May 29 when Bridgeport Police responded to the 1100 block of Park Avenue for a report of a person stabbed, said Bridgeport Police Capt. Kevin Gilleran. Gilleran said the teen was suffering from multiple stab wound injuries to the torso. He was transported to an area hospital where he later died. Woman Charged With DUI After Almost Hitting Oncoming Cars In Wilton A Northern Westchester woman was been accused of driving intoxicated after allegedly swerving and almost hitting oncoming traffic in Fairfield County. The incident took place in Wilton on Friday, May 19 on Ridgefield Road. Hudson Valley Man Nabbed Traveling 103 MPH While Drunk, State Police Say A Hudson Valley man was nabbed for allegedly speeding at 103 mph while drunk on I-84. Orange County resident Maycholl Perdodma, age 23, of Wallkill, was busted around 5 a.m., Sunday, May 21, by a trooper who clocked him at 103 mph in a 2019 Jeep Cherokee in a 65 mph zone in Montgomery, said Trooper Steve Nevel. The trooper stopped the vehicle and while speaking with the trooper it was determined that Perdoma was impaired by alcohol and was arrested. 5 Nabbed For $60K Knifepoint Robbery At Long Island AT&T Store Five men have been charged with a knifepoint robbery at a Long Island At&T store, cutting a female employee. Man Accused Of Masturbating In CT Shopping Center Parking Lot A man was charged with public indecency after he allegedly was seen masturbating in a Connecticut shopping center parking lot. The incident took place in New Haven County around 5 p.m., Tuesday, May 23, in the Marshalls parking lot at 1413 Boston Post Road in Milford. A 22-year-old man from the region is behind bars on a slew of charges including the unauthorized use of a vehicle he allegedly stole.
