Know Them? Search On For Suspects In Stamford Liquor Store Burglary Police in Fairfield County are asking the public for help identifying two men who allegedly broke into a liquor store and made off with liquor and cigarettes. The incident took place in Stamford at Wagon Wheel Liquors on Long Ridge Road around 4:20 a.m., on Monday, May 29. According to Stamford Police Sgt. Sean Scanlan, the two men broke the glass on the front door and made entry taking liquor and cigarettes. The loss of items and damage was over $5,000. ID Released For 23-Year-Old Hit, Killed By Train In CT Police have released the identity of a man who was hit and killed by an Amtrak train in Connecticut. Hartford County resident Amani Abele Ashley, age 23, of Bristol, was killed around 5:30 p.m., Tuesday, May 30 while walking along the train tracks near the intersection of Surrey Lane in Berlin. According to Berlin Police, responding officers found Ashley on the train tracks with life-threatening injuries and began emergency care, but he died shortly after. Know Him? Man Wanted For Armed Hudson Valley Robbery Police are asking the public for help identifying an armed man wanted for allegedly robbing a convenience store. The robbery took place in Orange County around 10:40 p.m. on Sunday, March 5 at the Stewart's Shop in the town of Newburgh. According to Newburgh Police, the man pressed an unknown black object into the back of the cashier and demanded cash and Newport cigarettes. 26-Year-Old Killed In I-95 Crash In Stamford Connecticut State Police are asking for any witnesses to a single-car crash that killed a man on I-95 in Fairfield County. The crash took place in Stamford around 12:25 a.m., Thursday, June 1, on I-95 northbound in the area of Exit 8. A preliminary investigation revealed a 2017 Nissan Rouge driven by Massachusetts resident Emmanuel Pierre, age 26, of Worcester left its lane of travel for an unknown reason and struck the metal beam guard rail in the right shoulder approximately a quarter of a mile north of Exit 8, state police said. Stabbing Death: Hudson Valley Man Charged In Killing In Front Of Popular Bar A Hudson Valley man has been charged with stabbing to death another man near a popular bar. The incident took place in Orange County near the 411 Lounge on Broadway in the city of Newburgh around 2 a.m. on Sunday, May 28. On Thursday, June 1, the city of Newburgh Police arrested Eric McCollum, a 28-year-old Newburgh resident, said Michael Neppl, a spokesman for the city of Newburgh. Ceiling Collapse Closes Section Of Stamford Train Station, 1 Injured A portion of a suspended concrete ceiling over a stairway vestibule at the Stamford Train Station collapsed, sending riders scrambling to get out of the way. Aggressive Driving Campaign: State Police Conduct Detail In Hudson Valley After numerous serious crashes on the Palisades Parkway with fatalities in the Hudson Valley, the New York State Police conducted an aggressive driving campaign. The campaign, held in Rockland County from Monday, May 16 to Sunday, May 28, the effort was held to deter motorists from speeding and reckless driving, said Trooper Steven Nevel. Father Charged In Hot Car Death Of Infant Daughter In Hudson Valley A father has been charged with criminally negligent homicide in the hot car death of his 1-year-old daughter in the Hudson Valley.
