She spent 17 years at Florida Today in Melbourne, Florida as a general assignment reporter, crime reporter, entertainment reporter and restaurant critic. She worked four years at Hometown News as a general assignment reporter, then another two years at Spacecoast Daily in Cocoa Beach, Florida. She attended Eastern Florida State College in Melbourne, Florida.

Man Threatens Person With Boxcutter On Long Island, Police Say A Long Island man was charged with menacing after allegedly threatening a person with a boxcutter in the presence of a child. The incident took place in Suffolk County in Southampton on Sunday, April 24. According to the Sgt Jason Davin of the Southampton Police, Darwin Lopez Funes, age 25, of Flanders, was charged with menacing and endangering the welfare of a child after threatening another person with a boxcutter with a child in the area. Lopez Funes was arrested and transported to Southampton Police headquarters for processing and held for morning arraignment.

Man Charged With Making Child Sex Tapes In Hudson Valley, Police Say A 23-year-old man has been charged with allegedly meeting a minor in the Hudson Valley for sex and for having sexually-explicit tapes of minors. Richard Rosa, was arrested in Orange County on Tuesday, April 25 in Wallkill following an investigation that found he met an underage female with the intent to engage in sexual relations, said Lt. Man From Hudson Valley Nabbed With Child Porn, Police Say A man from the region has been charged with possession of obscene sexual performances by a child following an investigation into his online activity. Orange County resident James H. Knuth, age 71, of Pine Bush, was arrested on Monday, April 24. In February, detectives from the Ulster County Sheriff's Office initiated an investigation into Knuth after it was alleged he had been in communication with a social media account pretending to be a juvenile girl for several months, said Sgt. Woman Charged With Reporting Fake Robbery By 'Cops' In Fairfield A Bridgeport woman has been charged with falsely reporting a crime after telling police that she had been robbed in Fairfield of $15,000 and other personal items by two men posing as police officers. Trio Nabbed With Drugs During Traffic Stop In Region, Police Say A man and two others were busted on drug charges during a traffic stop in the region on I-87. The incident took place in Ulster County around 6 p.m., on Wednesday, April 12 on I-87 In Plattekill. Fatal Crash: Man Misses Turn, Strikes Pole In Hudson Valley, Police Say A man was killed in a single-vehicle crash when he allegedly failed to negotiate a turn and struck a telephone pole in the Hudson Valley. Greenwich Homeowner Catches Burglar, Holds Him Down Until Police Arrived A homeowner interrupted a burglary in progress and he and another man were able to hold down the suspect until police arrived in Fairfield County.
