Hudson Valley Man Receives $19K In Fraudulent Worker's Comp, DA Says A Verizon Communications employee in the Hudson Valley has been arrested for allegedly filing fraudulent Worker's Compensation claims. Ulster County resident Jason Vega, age 48, of Marlboro, a hamlet of Marlborough, was arrested in Orange County on Thursday, April 13 in the town of Newburgh. Targeted Shooting: Bridgeport Man Killed Outside Deli A Bridgeport man was killed outside a busy deli in what police are calling a "targeted" shooting. The incident took place in Bridgeport around 9 p.m., Wednesday, April 12 in the area of East Main Street and Arctic Street in front of Shorty's Deli. Bergen Man, 20, Dog Killed In 3-Car PIP Crash: Nysp A 20-year-old North Jersey man has been identified as the victim who was killed, along with his dog, in a crash on the Palisades Parkway in New York. Cyrus A. Silverio, of Hackensack was in a black 2001 BMW when he and two other cars collided in Clarkstown at 10 p.m. Thursday, April 10, NY State Trooper Steven Nevel said. Person Standing On Platform Killed After Coming Into Contact With Train In Hastings-On-Hudson A person was killed after coming in contact with an incoming train overnight in Westchester County. The incident took place in Westchester around 11:30 p.m. Thursday, April 13 at the Hasting-on-Hudson station. According to MTA officials, a person standing on the platform at the station came in contact with the side of a Croton-Harmon bound train as it was approaching the station. MTA Police, Metro-North Railroad, and rescue personnel responded, but the person was pronounced dead at the scene.
