Update: ID's Released For 2 Killed In CT Crash Police have released the identities of a Connecticut man and a woman killed in a single-vehicle crash. The crash took place in New Haven County around 11:10 p.m., Sunday, March 5 in Waterbury at Long Hill Road and Transit Street. Hudson Valley Man Attempts To Carjack Vehicle, Attacks Woman, Police Say A Hudson Valley man was charged after allegedly attempting to carjack a vehicle and then attacking a woman at an area home. The incident took place in Rockland County on Saturday, March 4 in Nanuet. Ex-Highway Superintendent In Hudson Valley Sentenced For Sexual Conduct Against Child An ex-highway superintendent and fire chief from the region has been sentenced to prison for sexually assaulting a child under the age of 13. Sullivan County resident Robert Hufcut, age 56, of Wurtsboro, was sentenced to 22 years in prison followed by 20 years of post-release supervision, said Orange County District Attorney David Hoovler. Fairfield Man Arrested For Animal Torture, Nabbed Again For Harassing Police, Cops Say A former Fairfield town official who has been charged several times with allegedly torturing animals has been arrested again for threatening police. Raymond Neuberger, age 39, of the town of Fairfield, was arrested on Monday, March 6 at his parent's home in Easton, said Lt. Michael Paris of the Fairfield Police. Fatal Fire: At Least 1 Dead After Massive Blaze Breaks Out At Yonkers Apartment Building At least one person was killed and several others injured during a massive blaze overnight at an apartment building in Westchester County. Hit-Run Crash: Pedestrian Injured In New Canaan A pedestrian was injured after allegedly being struck by a hit-and-run driver in Fairfield County. The incident took place in New Canaan around 10: 50 a.m. on Tuesday, March 7 at the intersection of South Avenue and Cherry Street. The crash took place in New London County around 10:45 p.m., Monday, March 6 in the village of Pawcatuck in Stonington.
