She spent 17 years at Florida Today in Melbourne, Florida as a general assignment reporter, crime reporter, entertainment reporter and restaurant critic. She worked four years at Hometown News as a general assignment reporter, then another two years at Spacecoast Daily in Cocoa Beach, Florida. She attended Eastern Florida State College in Melbourne, Florida.

Man Stabbed During LI Restaurant Fight, Police Say A 21-year-old was beaten and stabbed during a fight with a man at a Long Island restaurant. The incident took place in Farmingdale around 2 a.m., Sunday, March 5 at the Dominican Restaurant 4 located at 305 Main St. According to Nassau County Police detectives, the Martin Carpio, age 35, of Bellmore, entered Dominican Restaurant 4 and got into a verbal dispute with several patrons of the restaurant. Norwalk Man, Struck, Killed By Car In Westport, Police Say A Norwalk man was hit and killed by a car in Westport. The crash took place in Westport around 11:30 p.m., Saturday, March 4 in the area of 575 Riverside Ave. Matthew Balga, age 54, of Norwalk, was found by first responders who rendered aid before he was transported to Norwalk Hospital where he was pronounced dead, said Lt. Fatal Shooting: 33-Year-Old Found Shot In Parking Lot At Hudson Valley Apartment Complex A 33-year-old man was found shot dead in the parking lot of a Hudson Valley apartment complex. The incident took place in Rockland County around 7 p.m., Sunday, March 5, in Pomona at the Manors Apartments Complex. Man Nabbed For Stealing Cooking Oil From Darien Business, Cops Say A man wanted for several years for allegedly stealing used cooking oil from behind a business was nabbed by police in Fairfield County. Pedrito Disla, age 45, of the Bronx, was arrested by Darien Police on Saturday, Feb. 25 on an active warrant for the incident which took place in Oct. 2018. The incident took place in Dutchess County on Tuesday, Feb. 28, in the city of Poughkeepsie.
