Here's Where CT Ranks Among US States For Most Confrontational Drivers With a rise in road rage, most drivers are afraid to look sideways, but a new survey finds drivers in Connecticut rank low for episodes of confrontational encounters. The survey, conducted by Forbes, took a look at all 50 states ranking them from the highest number of road rage incidents -- Utah -- to the lowest, North Dakota. Connecticut ranked at No. 35. Suspect On Loose After Armed Robbery At Popular Liquor Store In Darien A suspect is on the run in Fairfield County following the alleged gunpoint robbery of a popular liquor store. The incident took place in Darien around 8:20 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 13 at Discount Wine and Spirits located at 353 Post Road. According to Sgt. Dan Skoumbros of the Darien Police, the victim told investigators that the store had been robbed and that the suspect was armed with a handgun. Hudson Valley Man Charged With Illegally Distributing More Than 1.2M Oxycodone Pills A Hudson Valley man was one of eight people charged in federal court with conspiracy to distribute more than 1.2 million oxycodone pills. Orange County resident Anthony Mathis, age 55, of New Windsor, was indicted on Wednesday, Oct. 12, in a 10-count indictment along with a Brooklyn doctor, office manager, and two pharmacists. Bay Shore Teen Indicted For Shooting Guest At Baby Shower A Long Island teen has been indicted for the shooting of a man at a woman's baby shower. Suffolk County District Attorney Raymond Tierney announced the assault charges against Javier Soto, age 16, of Bay Shore, on Friday, Oct. 14. “A baby shower should be a joyous occasion celebrating the coming of new life. 3 Store Clerks Charged In Nassau County Underage Alcohol/Tobacco Sales Detail Three store clerks were charged in connection with an underage drinking and tobacco sales operation on Long Island. The detail took place on Thursday, Oct. 13 throughout Nassau County. Bridgeport Convicted Felon Nabbed With Drugs, Gun, Police Say A Fairfield County man was nabbed with drugs and a loaded gun after police received a tip he was selling drugs. Nnamdi Clarke, age 48, of Bridgeport, was arrested on Wednesday, Oct. 12 in Bridgeport. According to Capt. 3 Found Dead By Furnace Repairman At Stamford Home, Police Say Three people were found dead inside a Fairfield County home by a furnace repairman. The incident took place in Stamford around 5 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 13 at a residence on Scofield Avenue. Woman From Region Nabbed For Grand Larceny, State Police Say A woman from the region has been charged with grand larceny for allegedly using a person's credit cards and car without her permission. Sullivan County resident Miranda J. Stickle, age 27, of Livingston Manor, was arrested on Wednesday, Oct. 12, for two counts of grand larceny, said Trooper Steven Nevel.
