Edward Ehrenberg, 100, Of Paramus PARAMUS, N.J. -- Edward Ehrenberg, 100, of Paramus,  died Oct. 14.  Born April 27, 1915, in New York City, he moved to Paramus, where he became a certified public accountant after leaving the military following World War II, and practiced accounting the rest of his life. Ehrenberg was husband of the late Mary (nee MacLaughlin), and father of Bette and husband Hank, Ronald MacLaughlin and wife Georgeann, and Irene Fortunato. A French woman on a diplomatic mission to Hiroshima and a local Japanese man fall in love over a series of “conversations” about memory and forgetfulness. Hackensack Rotary Is Accepting Thanksgiving Food Donations HACKENSACK, N.J. -- Rotary International is conducting its annual Thanksgiving food drive from now through Nov. 19. Non-perishable food donations are needed, and can be donated at the Hackensack Police Dept., 225 State St.; the Hackensack Fire Dept. at 205 State St.; Hackensack City Hall lobby, facing 65 Central Ave.; and Rudy’s Restaurant, 107 Anderson St. Donations will benefit the Center for Food Action, the Rotary Military Family Assistance Center; and St. Anthony’s Church food pantry.

Flu Vaccine Available By Appointment In Lyndhurst LYNDHURST, N.J. -- The Lyndhurst Health Department is offering free flu shots to township residents and employees of the township and Board of Education who are 18 and older. For the time being, since Lyndhurst received only a partial shipment of the 2015 - 2016 vaccine, people who want flu shots must call the Board of Health at (201) 804-2500 and schedule an appointment. However, the board is anticipating additional shipments of vaccine, and when that is received walk-in flu clinics will be scheduled and announced to the public.

Fairview Volleyball Team 'Spikes For Charity' FAIRVIEW, N.J. -- The Academy of Our Lady of Grace presents its second annual Volleyball Charity Night to benefit Make-A-Wish New Jersey Sunday, Nov. 8. The JV vs. Students game will be at 6 p.m., followed by varsity, coaches and parents matches. Admission is $3 for adults and $1 for children. The Royals concession stand will be selling popcorn, hot dogs, drinks and more for the cause. Make-A-Wish Foundation makes the dreams of children with life-threatening illnesses come true.

Bring your pets to the Wayne Township Municipal Garage on Dey Road from 6-8 p.m. All pets must be accompanied by an adult and leashed, or be in a carrying case. Proof of 2015 dog or cat license is required. If you haven’t yet gotten your pet license, you can get it at the rabies clinic. Bonura and mother of Linda Masullo and her husband, Dr. Alfredo Masulla, and Dr. Anthony Bonura, D.M.D., and his wife Denise. She was grandmother of Justin and his wife Gianna, Celeste and her husband Michael and Dominique, and great-grandmother of Luca Anthony and Marcello Salvatore.
