Garfield Man Agrees To 5 Years In Prison For Sex With Sleeping Woman GARFIELD, N.J. -- A Garfield man who brought a woman home and then had sex with her while she was passed out will be sentenced to five years in prison after pleading guilty to first-degree rape. Adam Niemira, 29, must serve at least four years and two months of the sentence under his plea deal after which authorities said the Polish national will likely be deported. If he remains in the country, Niemira will be subject to the state Megan’s Law sex offender registry, to parole supervision for life, and to a Nicole’s Law order permanently banning him from ever contacting the victim. State Will Auction Farm Leases In November PASSAIC COUNTY, N.J. -- The state has begun auctioning farm leases to put 2,744 acres of land into agricultural use. The auctions are open to all interested farmers. Tracts in Vernon and West Milford, Morris, Sussex and Warren counties will be in the Northern Auction on Wednesday, Nov. 18, at 11 a.m. at Pequest Trout Hatchery, 605 Pequest Road, Oxford. Attorney: Heart Attack In Fight Killed ZZ Top Fan In Elmwood Park ELMWOOD PARK, N.J. -- A Morris County man who police said was beaten to death by his friend after their car crashed on Route 80 in Elmwood Park following a ZZ Top concert in Englewood died of a heart attack, his attorney contended today. Clifton Juvenile Has Court Appearance In Fatal Shooting CLIFTON, N.J. -- A 17-year-old Clifton juvenile will make an appearance in family court Tuesday morning in connection with the death of aspiring rapper Leandro Mendoza, 21, NorthJersey.com reported. Mendoza was killed early Friday morning outside a liquor store where he worked at 432 Lexington Ave., the story said.
