Hillsdale, Woodcliff Lake Explore Shared Services PASCACK VALLEY -- Hillsdale and Woodcliff Lake are exploring shared public works services, with particular emphasis on snow plowing and equipment replacement, according to a report in NorthJersey.com.The municipalities will split the cost of a $17,750 feasibility study by LKM Consulting LLC that will examine both departments together and separately, NorthJersey.com reported. Daniel Fishbein, superintendent of schools, said the first day of school is Wednesday, Sept. 2, which is different than the date originally printed on a mailing to parents. Closter Library Displays Two New Sculptures CLOSTER, N.J. -- The Closter Public Library announced recently that two new sculptures have been installed on its grounds. “The Sentinel” by Natalie Frier and “Ode to Life” by Ulla Novina were placed at the end of July, and are on display for public view in the library’s sculpture garden. Frier and Novina are both from Harrington Park. The library stated the new works not only enhance the aesthetics of the library, but continue a rich tradition of sculpture.
