Clifton Police Release Names Of Two 21-Year-Old Women Killed In Crash CLIFTON, N.J. -- Clifton police have released the names of two young women who were killed last week in a Route 3 accident, according to The Record. Tashanique S. Hawkins of Elizabeth and Carlene A. Maynard of East Orange, both 21, were in a 2007 Toyota Camry that lost control on an exit ramp at about 3:30 a.m. Three women including the 20-year old driver were taking to the hospital. Paterson Officer Reinstated With Back Pay of $48,000 PATERSON, N.J. — The Paterson City Council has approved a $48,405 payment to a police officer whose suspension last year was overturned by a state judge, the Paterson Press reported. Officer Maribel Candelo is due $31,405 in back pay for salary that was withheld when she was suspended for insubordination, The Press said. She will also be paid $17,000 for legal fees. She had been suspended in April 2014 for 180 days on departmental charges involving insubordination.
