Yorktown Police Nab Suspect In Bank Robbery YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, N.Y. -- Yorktown Police arrested Kerry D. Vanterpool, 25, of the Bronx in connection with a recent local bank robbery. Putnam County Savings Bank on Lee Road was robbed on Sept. 17 by two males wearing hooded jackets, hats and sunglasses. The suspects fled on foot with bags of stolen money.  Three suspects were arrested and interviewed in the Town of LaGrange on Sept. 22. Following the interviews, Detective Tausz applied for an arrest warrant for Vanterpool.  An investigation for the remaining suspects is still ongoing.

Mitch Bolinsky (R-Newtown) criticized a transportation lockbox proposal at Tuesday's special session of the Legislature.  As previously reported, the proposal called for a constitutional amendment to protect transportation funding.
